Ford's Special Vehicle Operations successes in the national and international racing series such as Formula 1, NASCAR, and CART, are widely known. There is also a great deal of success in backyard garages and small shops. On any given weekend, on bullrings and road courses, Ford competes and wins! These privateers who sacrifice so they can race are the focus of the Tech Team. Highly skilled engineers and technicians from all over the world have stepped forward to volunteer their support for the "grassroots" racer. In the past, opportunities to work with promising teams both young and not so young have been missed due to the resource limitations that are a fact of the automotive business. As a volunteer group, the FME Tech Team provides a means of grasping these opportunities with no cost to Ford, or to the racing team!

This concept reflects the new spirit of volunteerism and commitment to growth inside of Ford Motor Company. The members of the FME Tech Team will find a way to see Ford products win at every level in Motorsports today...and tomorrow!
