At this time of year, we
gratefully pause to wish you and yours a warm and happy holiday
season.
I know it has been a couple of months since we last updated everyone
but it wasn't because there was nothing going on, actually, it was
quite the opposite. In the last three months we began the transition
from the Mercury Cougar to the new 2004 Focus with Ford's new PZEV
world engine. We are very excited and have already started building
the new chassis. The engine program is progressing nicely and we
expect to have news on that in a couple of weeks. With the new body
from Ford Wayne Assembly and the engineering support of the chassis
and 2.3 engine from Ford Racing Technology we feel we have taken the
next step to put a Ford in the Speed World Challenge winners circle.
I know I have already asked many of you for your help on the Focus and
have received great response and enthusiasm. You all fuel the
determination we have and make us very proud to have you on our team.
As you can image this has been a huge undertaking for our small team
and we appreciate everyone's support. As with any successful race
program we have also been working on securing sponsorship to campaign
the car for the 2004 season and beyond. Enclosed is our first
press release
for our new 2004-2005 program.
